PROJECT OVER NIGHT NIGHT CRUSADE

On November 2, 2014, Val's Place Of Hope partnered with various Organizations and the Family Violence Program to raise awareness for families who are facing a crisis or homeless situation.  The program received 60 bags filled with stuffed animals, blankets and books for children of all ages who have to come into shelter.  We would like to say thank you to both Brother Milton & Evangelist Bertha Dozier of Helping Hands Ministry, for all their dedication and hard work on this project.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPEMENT

Outreach values bringing residents together to build a sense of community and to celebrate significant dates. Val's Place Of Hope serves a diverse, dynamic and important neighborhood. The community outreach there focuses its service on all 2,500 apartment units located in the neighborhood. The Center hosts several events throughout the year which promote and encourage connectedness and involvement. These events are also wonderful avenues for the local church to serve and connect with people. Events include a Community Barbecue, held on the same night as National Night Out Against Crime; Community Thanksgiving Dinner, Christmas Toy Giveaway, and the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. Val's Place Of Hope serves its local community through participation and partnership with various Ministries and Organizations.  We have also established the Local Emergency Assistance Fund to supply financial assistance to people who come to the site in financial distress. Val's Place Of Hope is also involved in community July Fourth celebration, organizes a Back-to-School Block Party and participates in National Night Out. These are just a sampling of ways Outreach connects with the local neighborhoods it serves.
